i am wanting to get some wood arrows.here is my setup.71 bear super kodiak 45#@28 ,i want to shoot 145 grains 29" arrow .. what spine do i need ... thanks

I found with my 45lb bow and 125 grain tips 55-60 spine works well.  Shooting Douglas fir arrows!

50/55 should work as well since you have a dacron string on that bow.

Are you going to draw 29" or are you cutting 29" to BOH for broadhead clearance? If you are drawing 29 the your bow weight should be about 48# at 29" then add 5# to your spine weight for the inch over 28". Thats where I would start if it were me. There are a lot of folks out here probably better answers, so hang in there there will be more help I bet. Hope I am not confusing you.  

60-65 should also work since your arrow will be over 28" and your point weight will be over 125grn

I think 55-60 would put you in the money.

Buy both and try them out.

You could also get the test kit from 3Rivers. It comes with 2 arrow of each spin.

Kit A = 35-40,40-45, 45-50 & 50-55
Kit B = 50-55, 55-60, 60-65 & 65-70
Kit C = 65-70, 70-75, 75-80 & 80+

That would be my guess as well.

i use 50/55 out of my 47# and 48# bows with 125 grain heads.if you get them full length,use one to test them with tips.if arrow is tail left cut 1/2 inch off at a time till they fly strait if arrow is tail right add heavier tip.[for right handed shooter opposite if lefty] then cut rest to same length.dont forget about taper under tip when you cut.good luck and good shooting...chris
