Never too soon to get ready for next go around so I spent the long weekend working on & building arrows.  Thought I would share these beauties...

The arrows are the sadly discontinued CX Terminator Hunter 4560, 29.75" BOP, wraps by One Stringer (who else is there?) and Gateway 4" LW paras.  The broadheads are Magnus 2 blade 140s with the tip cut back 1/4" & squared off, and a 5 grain brass washer added.  Total weight is 505 grains and they fly perfectly from all my stuff that's 51-55lbs at my 28.5 draw length.

The quiver is a Chuck Adams Arrow Holster I bought in the late 80's. They haven't been available for many years, as apparently Chuck's wife was making them and quit when they split up.
Had I known that was coming, I would have bought a couple at the time...

This is my favorite quiver, and the stories it could tell after 20+ years of hunting!  It holds up to 10 arrows so I can load up for those Badlands trips or mix in some stumpers & throwaway broadheads & still carry a good number of first string BHs.

In the picture you can see the shoulder strap I snap on when I want to carry it as a side quiver (most of the time).  Always thought the bare plastic hood was odd; I heard somewhere that Selway will cover a hood with leather for a fee, maybe I'll look into that before season...

difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

Here you are, bro.  I use a heavy duty side cutters to cut the point off at the end of the reinforced part of the BH, then clean it up & square it off with a file. Makes a much tougher tip.  In fact, haven't had one bend since I started doing this mod.

I take the factory nocks off CX shafts and replace them with Easton Super Nocks.  Prefer the bright yellow ones, but they really clashed with the red/white wraps & feathers...

The CX Terminator Hunters are back I guess they got enough complaints that they decided to bring them back. I saw them at Wal Mart this year and couldnt believe it I bought every one that they had in the 60/75. Check around and you may be able to find some. Great looking arrows.

That is great news.  The CXTH has got to be the toughest carbon I ever shot, with decent weight to boot.  I have one I've used with a judo for years, god alone knows how many inanimate objects it hit or bounced off of (including a steel grain bin twice last week) and is none the worse for wear...

No problem Dan...

Good looking hippers, Chad.  Do you dye the leather yourself, or get it that way?

I envy folks who can build things like that.  I was a mercy pass D- in HS Shop.  Screwed up the foot stool project 5 times, a school record that was never matched & retired when my alma mater closed in 80'...

I have a couple in-line bow quivers made by Hoyt back in the early 90's that I keep pondering for a leather hood cover & conversion to a hip or side quiver, but my projects like that always end up either looking like or going to hell...

Here are some more killas, 2117 Leagacys with my signature wraps also made by One Stringer, in my GFA Quiva...
