I got the surprise of a lifetime recently. This is going to be one of those defining moments in all of the lives of our family.

A new bow hunter is coming to our home!

My daughter Marijane aka The Woogchilde, known to her friends as MJ and called Woog by her family is going to make her mom and me "Grandparents" gulp!

I was in like... total shock but only for the 1st 4 days...lol
I'm all good now.. Thank God!

My 1st thought was, I'm not ready for this.
My 2nd was I'm not old enough to be a grandpa!
My 3rd thought was, it doesn't matter whether   you're ready or not!

I wouldn't have chosen to have this event at this time or under these circumstances but I love my daughter and I'll be there for her through whatever comes her way.

Now that it has "sunk in" and "It"(the fact)is what I like to call a "was"!
Now I can look forward to being the best danged grandpa God will allow me to be.

Thanks for allowing me to share this very personal and blessed news.

My Grandson is 2 and he and my Daughter live with us. I cant wait to get home from work every day,and hear Grandpa Jim and get a mid thigh hug as i come through the back door. Now that is what life is all about.

My oldest Daughter is expecting her second child and our first Grandson in April.

Congratulations Mudd. Grandkids are a blast.

I have a grand chi...  grand...  young relative.  It's not all bad...

My son & I have every intention to raise her right, but her mom is a control freak who hates guns, BB guns, bows, slingshots, or apparently any other tool which provides fun & teaches responsibilty & individual growth.

I don't know what the Primate saw in her in the first place, but she doesn't fit into the lifestyle of he or our family...
