I've had a new XR recurve on order for awhile now, and when I vistied there last summer I dug through his lumber stash and picked out a great looking piece of Bacote for my new bow. It's sometimes hard to imagine what lays hidden inside a hunk of wood, but let me tell you, I sure wasn't disappointed in this one!

62", 55# @ 29".  All Birdseye Bocote, with bamboo accent stripes and elk antler tips.  And it shoots as good as it looks!!!

That's some of the most beautiful wood I've ever seen in a bow. I love Bocote, and this is the first Birds-Eye I've seen. It was used in fine looking bow too. Very Nice! Congrats!

BEAUTIFUL!That Bocote is just plain BEAUTIFUL!

Did I mention that is BEAUTIFUL?I would love to have a truck load of that.That is a rare board,for sure.

Dang!!! That is gorgeous.  Just starting to appreciate the beauty of Bocote.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
