Does anybody else have a problem with the inner bicept area of your jacket sleeve on your bow arm interfering with your bowstring and if so how do you  handle it? I know there are a lot of innovative guys and gals out there--I'm just looking for a comfortable solution that I might not have thought of. thanks, Rick

Yes. Try a few rubber bands

Fred Eichler carries rubber bands with him to deal with clothing getting in the way. I saw that on a cd. I use an archery sock( not made to cover you feet) that covers my forearm and bicept. I also know one guy that stitched a zipper in the sleeve of his jacket.

I sew togerther armbands made of 1" black elastic and always keep a couple in my pocket or pack for just this purpose...

I take an old long sleave t-shirt and cut the sleeve off and put it(The cut off sleeve) over the coat(bow arm) add a few stitches and its good to go.

If you don't mind getting runs...you could cut a leg off of panty hose...done that. Rick.

Sew elastic inside the sleeves of your jacket.

Roconman

Cut the end out of a heavy wool sock. Works good on heavy coats and leafy suits.

Rick James

Good stuff, thanks guys.

You could always try opening your stance up a bit!

I wear elastic tick gaiters that go on your pant leg. Macks Prairie Wings has them. Last forever.

Like above, I always have a pocket full of rubber bands.  Works great for me and they have many other uses as well.

I've been using black dress socks (the kind with elastic), I just cut the toe off and slide it up over my bicep/forearm area.

Rob DiStefano

i carry a 4' length of leather shoelace, wrap around the loose sleeving, problem solved.
