I'm able to purchase one arrow at a time from a local shop and another will strip the vanes and replace with feathers.

I bought one 7595 today, put a 50gr brass insert in and will pick up in the AM to try out. For a 57# bow do you think the spine might be too heavy (300 @ 11gpi)? At 29 1/2" It ends up being a bit more than 525gr.

I'm gonna guess yes unless you really load up the front.  It was to stiff for me with 250 total up front.  Your results may be different. Even the 55/75 will probably need plenty up front.

Yep,  Way to stiff.  Try something in 500 spine, or possibly even 600 spine.

I am going to bet way to heavy. I shooot 57lbs on all my longbows and recurves. I dont think that I could even dream of making that arrow fly. I have some Axis 340s that I shoot out of one recurve. I have thosse almost full lenght and and 100gr inserts.

I would try the 55/75. I can shoot those with the 50 and the 100gr insert depending on the length.

As said I would try the 400 range. That is what I am shooting.

55/75 with 100 grain inserts...125 grain broadheads, plus 30 grain broadhead adapter will work fine. Make sure you cut your arrows 1.5" to 2" longer.

I am of the same idea that with the 55/75 you can still have a lot of FOC with 57#.I use a 75/95 on my recurve 66#@29" and have 100grs brass plus 145BH,cut at 29 1/4.

I would also try the 55/75s , i shoot CX 340s wich are similar out of a 59# LB. that said, i am no expert by far and still struggling myself, so dont relly on me     .

I sell a pile of the gold tips. The 5575 is the  one that will work. If your long bow is not cut near center, you may need to go to a 3555 but not weaker.

Unless you plan on leaving the 55.75 real long and plan to hang  a bunch of weight on the end, they're going to be to stiff...

I believe with a longbow(probably not cut to center)you'll be far better off with the 35/55...I'd get both a 35/55 and  55/75 to try...

My arrows are about exactly like Joe Skipp recommended. I have 100 gr brass inserts, 30 gr adapters, and 125 gr points. It is the 55/75 cut at 29 1/2" and I draw just over 28". My bows are cut to center and they fly great. If not cut to center, you may need to add more weight, leave them longer, or go to the 35/55 as Guru said.

I'm with Guru, you are teetering on the fence between the 35/55 and the 55/75 depending on your draw length and point weight.

What is your draw length? If you have a short 26-28" draw I'd bet the 35/55's will be the ones.

It's hard to keep those inserts in the GT's. You'll have to epoxy them in when you get the proper length figured out. Use hot melt to insert inserts at first while you chop the arrow down a 1\\2" at a time finding the proper spine for your setup.

I think you are kind of on the fence and it will depend on a few more factors.  Center cut, draw length, arrow length, string.........and what you want up front all makes a difference. Do you want a lot of FOC?  Also what kind of LB?  There is a difference between a straight limb and radical D@R bow.  More data would help.

I shoot 55/75 out of all my bows.  I draw a little over 29" and use a 30-31" arrow.  All my bows are cut to center then have a strike plate so about 1/16" out.  I use from 225 to 175 on the front to tune to the different bows.  I have all skinny FF strings and all my bows are D@R LB's with real good cast.

My longbows (Hill style, non-center cut) are from 48-55# @28 1/2" draw.  I shoot 3555's out of all of them.  Regular inserts, 175 grain heads.  Fly great.

I shot 5575 with 100 grain insert and 125 grain point out of my 58 lb. Pronghorn. That was with a 28.5" arrow.

Not disagreeing with any of the above but if I were going to try that shaft I would at least start with a 100 gr insert and an assortment of heavy heads.Also if the shaft is black,they are listed,I believe,as .340 spine,the trads at .300.

I shoot 7595's with 325 up front!!!!

I use the 55-75 GT's for my 57#@27 Hill and they fly great. Cut to 29", 100 gr brass insert, 100 grain steel adaptor, 190 grain BH, about 650 total arrow weight. These same arrows fly well from a 53#@27 Moosejaw Elite that is cut 3/16" from center. The Hill is about 5/16" from center. I tried 35-55 GT's and they were way too light and weak spined.
