If you have any interest in hunting elk in Wyoming this year you need to act soon.  The deadline for putting in an application for the 2010 Wyoming elk drawing is January 31, 2010.  You can apply online or download an application and send by regular mail.  All the information you need can be obtained at this link:

http://gf.state.wy.us/

We have archery elk, antelope, mule deer, moose and mountain lion hunts available.  We will have spring bear hunts beginning in 2011.  Web site is still being revised but good information is currently available at:

http://www.mulecreekoutfitting.com/

You can send me a PM if you have any questions.

Thanks

Hey John if a guy just wants to apply for a point for elk when can that be submitted? It seems like last year it was in July?
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Preference point only is available from July 1 - Sept. 30

Form 30   available via the web after June 15

I've still got till May 31st   :biglaugh:   ....I think. But I need to hurry up on the turkey.

Jeff D. Holchin

I used up my points last year, but hoping my son will draw the same tag so I can return to the high country.  If so, Barney we have GOT to hook up and spend some time together.

Glad that things have worked out for this operation, John.  I'll be watching and hopefully hunting with you someday.

Man, do I hope I draw an elk tag this year!  I found a killer antelope hole and know some great mulie spots in the same area, but want to hunt elk more than anything this year!  With just a little luck I might draw all three.

I applied for an LE Elk unit.  It is a long shot but I hope I draw.  Unfortunately as much as I love Wyoming I think I am going to start "cashing" out on my points and being done with that state.  I hope I draw!

I'm going to put in for a point.  It will likely be several years before I can go anyway so I might as well start building up a bank of points.

I'm almost decided on a tag that I will likely draw this year.  Haven't pulled the trigger yet but I think I might be elk hunting WY this year.

Point only for me this year. Cross my fingers for AZ. Up to 12 points. Also always put in for New Mexico along with several other points states. Good Luck to all ! If you do not draw there are always some good last minute deals on line closer to the season. Take care . Randy
