THESES PICS WILL SAY WHY PRIMITIVE ARROWS MADE RIGHT WILL GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH BIG GAME!!! What do You think????

Please, images no wider than 640 - that's the rule here, thank you sir.

SEE SMALLER PICS ON PAGE 3

You see its all about the tapper off the arrowhead on primitive arrows. Another tip....melt hot bee's wax on the tapper and smooth into arrowhead and shaft with finger.Buff with a soft smooth rag. How  sweet it is to see fletching come out the other side of deer....Hmmmm! .....Jeff P.S. This stone point was made by Randy Eason ... He's the best !!!!

Sweet, just starting to hunt with stone tipped shafts...  I love it, just throw rocks at 'em.  I also really think it is amusing when people (even other bowhunters) say,"you ain't gonna hunt with that are you?" Those are my friends that get the first call to help drag one out...

Jeff that is AWESOME!  Im hoping to carry one stone point woody this fall, those pics give me a great set up to strive for!

Question does sanding the shaft where it goes over the point that thin weaken the joint?  or is the sinew that strong that it doesnt matter that the wood is so thin at that point?

I completely agree with you about the taper!  Very, very important to get it as smooth and clean as possible.

A couple things about the obsidian point, though.  In some states, that head would be defined as "barbed" because the ears form less than a 90 degree angle.  The other thing is that the point's flattened cross-section can cause wind-planing.  To avoid that, I like a flattened diamond cross-section which also strengthens the point (a big plus in brittle material like obsidian).

I like your bee's wax idea to smooth everything out.  I use 5 minute epoxy before it sets up.

Great stuff!!!  By the way, what's the shaft made from?       :wavey:

Thanks ...Guys!
The shaft is local Red Oser(DOGWOOD)
As to pcappy 08 ? I once missed a buck (DANG ..You believe that..lol!?)
and hit a red oak tree. The stone point wen't all the way into the tree. I cut it out with my knife. There was no affect on arrow shaft or stone head. I mostly find that its more of a sideways hit that can damage head or shaft.
I'll get pics of the other end of arrow soon. Might go out this afternoon and see if another "STONE" point does its job. Deer are feeding on corn behind the house. I have one more doe tag and Ohio's seasons still on. Till later my friends ....Jeff p.s.Heres my Oct.29 , 2009 stone point Buck
