Bought test arrows 400, 340 and 300 for bare shaft testing( My first time bare shaft testing )
with 63# recurve. Arrow weight is just over 700gr fully loaded.
Started at 6yrd worked my way back to 12yrd. I have the 300 shooting nock left 1" and nock high 1".Is this good enough to put feathers on now? Looking for that perfect arrow flight.

I like to get my shafts flying with no nock left or right.It's been said good bareshafting gives a slightly weak arrow,as fletching will stiffen it up.I would say you could fletch,but were it me I'd shave a tiny bit of point weight first.

First off when you are bare shafting, stand at 20 yards. Did everybody forget about the archers paradox?
Oh, thats right, now every "bowyer" is cutting there shelves past center, that's why you have to shoot super stiff shafts. HUMM
Also the only thing that matters is the flight of the arrow. Alot of things happen when the arrow strikes a target. How do you know it went in perfectly straight? Watch the arrow in flight!
When I'm done bareshafting, my arrows fly like darts, with no feathers, and still fly like darts with feathers.

Jay, Save your self some time and money. Go here  http://www.bowmaker.net/index2.htm  and Read this. Some of the information we get can be confusing. O.L has helped me tremendously. Look at his site go to bow tuning. It will help, you will follow through all you have done step by step and see if you have missed anything in-between. If you PM O.L Adcock he will answer any questions you have he is a great guy and sportsman Good luck, just remember he is a bowyer and is very busy. Sometimes it takes a little while for an answer, but he will get back to you.
