I sure hope that is you...all I'd be able to tell them is how to pick a bad guide and get ripped off

I know it costs $30 to become an associate member of PBS and the rooms are $100 plus tax per night. What other expenses are involved? I cannot find anything about a registration fee or if there are meals served at a sitdown dinner or anything like that? Anyone have any additional information info. on seminar schedule times, etc? Thanks in advance.

Wapiti792, we have you covered: DR. E. Don Thomas is the guest speaker for Saturday night.  Voila: a "medical" conference!  Always looking out for our members!

Alwright now I can deduct the cost of the conference to the company since Dr Thomas will be there speaking! This thing keeps getting better  :)

When do the seminars take place? Arethey during the day, or held during the banquet meals themselves?
I'll definately be there for Friday & Saturday, probably Sunday too, but I'm unsure whether to bother with the expense of the meals or not.
What say you all? Is it worth staying for the feed?

Rob,

The seminars are going on during the day and there is a speaker each night at the dinner.

YES! It is very much worth staying for the feed, the talk, and the auction each night.  This happens once every two years and the people setting it up do an excellent job at picking the venue and the food, they want to make it special for all the members and their significant others.

So I dont have to be a member to go? would like to check it out

Junglecat

Is the schedule still being finalized? I have looked all over that website and found seminar subjects and speakers but I cannot find the time nor rooms the seminars will be given in.Also I cannot find any mention of meals provided, meal costs, etc. Can someone please post such a schedule if one exists. Thanks in advance.

Cat, that will be a jumble until a few days before banquet. When you check in, you will get a packet that will have the entire weekend schedule and all the details.

The schedule of events and seminars, is in the 4th quarter 2009 issue of the magazine on page 45. It is a complete schedule with times.

There is also a listing of each meal and the memu on page 44.

several questions. Sorry if they were already asked and answered but the thread is 7 pages long. Do you have to attend all the days? or can you just attend the weekend??  what is the cost of tickets to attend? what is the cost of the dinners? seminars? ect...

I used to be a member but let my membership expire for a mutitude of reasons none of them having to do with the organization. Thanks in advance for the answers to my questions
1) Gen. 21:20
And God was with the lad, he grew, and he dwelt in the wilderness, and he became an archer
2)The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

Joe,

I sent in my order form from the magazine to get all my tickets, or I would scan it in and post it here for everyone to see.

You can buy everything ala carte or there are several packages for the banquet tickets also.

Junglecat

I am presently not a member. However I was considering joining and maybe attending some of the days of the event. It would be great if someone could scan the event schedule with times, meal costs, etc. and put it on this site or else on the PBS site.
