Way to go Danny! Great looking buck and javelina You are always able to bring home the bacon. Pun intended.  I hunted hard that last week end but no luck.

Sure am glad to see that purdy pheasantwood bow you got there on the site again.  Sure is a beaut!  Congradulations on the javelina and great looking west texas buck.  Good shooting!

Way to go Danny!!!  I hit mine high last week and he ran forever, think I just missed the spine.

You are a killer bud.
Barry, when I released that arrow and it was high I was afraid the same thing was going to happen to me!! But it managed to get the spine and the top of a lung and died right there. I got lucky, I don't like bad hits, but they are going to happen sometimes......  :knothead:

Sounds like a great hunt, thanks for sharing.  a pair of great animals.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

just wanted to take a minute and thank all the guys i shared a camp with for 5 days amist chasing those little ninjas most of you call javelina!  Mark, Mike, Brock, Craig and Mack, Paul and my old time hog chasing partner Barry! I truly had the best time listening to stories in the cook shack and around the camp fire!  Curtis, thanks again for putting up with my geeked out self and yes i do now believe you when you said 10 yrds was too far!  and i also personally thank you for getting my new years diet and excersice program kicked off.  I swear that thing weighed 700 pounds and it was more like a 4 mile drag  :) !

i sincerely hope the best for all you guys in your future hunts and every last one of you are always welcome in burns flat anytime!  however april is best because after we get your turkey we can go catch some walleye to have for dessert!
and i mean that!

Good luck to the future javi hunters and if you guys have half as much fun as i did you'll not want to leave

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
