I have some AD Hammerheads I plan to dip. Is there any reason that I should not glue in my nock adapter before I dip? My guess is it would be like dipping swaged aluminum or wood that have already had the taper cut.

I use the mini dipping plugs, I don't see a reason why you cannot use the adapters as plugs.

Thanks Badger.

Should I have any concern with nock fit on the adapter? Will the extra "thickness" of the dip be a problem?

I have a set of plugs to use if I need to. I just wanted to glue my adapters in then dip, then fletch. My plan is to get a smooth transition from the shaft to the adapter.

The extra thickness shouldn't be a problem.  If it is it can easily be removed.  It may even help out if you are using glue on nocks.

I just finished crown dipping some AD Trad Lites for myself. I installed the nock adapters first, then crown dipped. If the extra "thickness" may cause a problem, then just scrape it off but it didn't cause me any problems when I glued on the nocks.
