18 degrees, swamp under water, wind blowing 25 miles an hour, frozen water pipes- WHAT A HUNT!

I don't think Bruce Johnson of MA comes on TG much, so I will just post this here.  His buddy, Ronnie, who also doesn't come on TG, was surrounded by 20 hogs last night and couldn't get a shot!

I didn't check his quiver though...come to think of it...hmmmmmm

Bill M. was here as well, and the first night had close encounters of the swine kind but couldn't get a clear shot..so he held off numerous times.

wow, that colder than we're having, right now,  up here in Nova Scotia, Canada.  I didn't realize it got cold like that in Georgia

It's worse than that, Acadian, its only 35 miles from Hilton Head, SC.. the beachgoers paradise!!!

that's also only 1 hour and 45 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL

izz, that's pretty normal for a medium size boar. He went 175 lbs.

Four degrees here this morning when I left for work. Two more months and we'll be down there Ray. Can't wait!

That's cold!  It looks like the hog is frozen solid!
I didn't realize hogs were even active when it got that cold.  Having a honey hole like Hog Heaven pays off!

Hmmm...I could tell the wife I'm taking the family to the beach, drop them off, sneak out with the bow up your way for about 6-8 hrs and be back at the beach....Opps!  Just thinking out loud again!!  Good plan just don't think the wife would go along..  :biglaugh:

I've got to shoot one hog with a compound a few years ago but I still want to take one with the recurve.  Someday I'll get the opportunity.  Anyway, that is a nice hog!!

Oh man! It hit 24 degrees here in California a month ago and I couldn't think let alone fathom pulling on a bow string! You guys have anti-freeze in your blood to be able to even live in such a cold place!
