Looks like my first bow, bought brand new at the local hardware store many years ago. Enjoy!

I have one just like it. Its sweet to shoot
And in the end when i can no longer draw the bow or watch the arrow embark on its flight;when i posses only the spirit of the hunter, i will hunt.... if only in my dreams... because the hunt is born amidst my soul, and i... i am the hunter

Hit-or-Miss

That is one sweet bow Mr. Stout! I might have to get myself a Grizz now!!

Nice looking Grizz, George. Usually the number under the plate is the actual draw weight, but 508 sounds pretty heavy to me, lol! Maybe the guy got confused and put his clock number there instead of the weight!

30coupe, I'm not talking about the mark under the plate...that one is 45.  I'm talking under the rug, on the shelf itself.  Never saw it before.

George, you have a superb Grizzly there.  Enjoy it, and good hunting.  I've regretted selling mine a few years ago.  It was in mint to new condition, too.

I see. Nope, I've never seen that either. Usually there is nothing there, at least on the old Bears I have seen.

George.....bows talk to you too.  I bought an early Red Wing Hunter a few years back and it was pristine.  Showed it to Rob Lee a Cloverdale and he said that it was a bow built by Bob in the early days in Houston and he wanted to buy it. Said his dad did not have any bows from back then and would like to have that one for the shop.  So, it went home with him, but that bow stil talks to me from a distance, reminding me of the bows in the local hardware store of times long ago past.

George, are you gonna try putting a D97 or other high performance string on this one? I know you have them on some of your other older bows. Do the Grizzlies get along with the high performance material strings very well?

Beautiful bow ya got there. I wouldn't hesitate to go after just about anything with that one. Be a great one for bowfishing as well.

That one sure is in good shape.  I have a refinished 56-incher (1970?) that I use for bowfishing.  It really fits the hand nicely.

Doug, I haven't fooled with it too much yet and need to look at string nocks and overlays before trying it for a long period.  I did shoot it with the D97 for a few shots and it was actually very quiet.  I will address that a shot or two at a time and see what transpires. 8^).
