Just received this one today; it's a 70's Bear Grizzly in near pristine condition.  I had forgotten how smooth the 58" Grizzly was until lately.  I don't know it's history, but it seems eager to make some more, so will give her a go this late season.....starting tomorrow.  A few photos for your perusal:

J.Cook,  I sell most of them about as fast as I get them.  I keep the ones that speak to me; this one is trying to. 8^).

I searched for a long time to find a really nice one with a grip that fit my hand. Finally found one at the ATAR several years ago. We have bonded quite nicely.

George, I have two just like that, they are smooth and good shooters. I do all my bowfishing with one of them, some days I can't miss with that bow

Yes, this poor working man owns one, too! 53lbs, bought from a fellow welder for $35.00! Had the spring arm quiver to boot.

My wife bought my first '70s Grizz, in 1985 for my Birthday. My son took his second deer with my latest Grizz! Gotta love'em!

Good looking, classic bow.  I really like the simple lines and profile of the 58" Grizzly!

I can still vividly remember going to a Woolco store as a kid and there would just be a pile of grizzlys just like that in the hunting aisle. I'd run down there as soon as we got in the store and my mother would come get me when she was done. There were guns, bows ,knives and even traps, everything a young kid needed, a couple of those grizzlys found there way under our christmas trees over the years

Same as I just bought,I shot a little of everything and kept coming back to the grizzly...Great bow for a newbie like me...Mine looks just like that except where yours is brown wood on the riser mine is more black than brown.I love how it shoots,right where I look and the smooth draw and dead in my hand on release.

A friend of mine shot one in the early seventies and he loved it. I was shooting a Kodiak hunter at the time. I shot it a couple of times and really liked it. It's a keeper George!  Ben

Great bow George.I have two of it's brothers.The one with the selway is my first bow.The other bow is my father's first bow,which I later used to take my first bow deer with.



Never noticed until now that it was marked 48#'s on the sight window.It's a 45# bow on the riser and I always thought it was until I saw that just now.Hmm.Unfortunately one of the limbs delamed on me,so she is a wall hanger now.Both bows are sacred to me and will never be sold.

Mine has an interesting mark on the shelf under the rug.  It was marked 508.  I am thinking that may have been the employee who last inspected the bow, but I'm not sure about that.  It's done with white lettering...the same that was used to mark the weight above the shelf.  This is the first that I have seen that kind of mark on the shelf itself.
