I had a large limb go through the roof of my ameristep blind one year. Glad I wasn't in there at the time. I repaired it by using the iron on denium patches they sell at the Mart. Iron it on inside the blind. It seems to be holding up very well. It could be even better if I could have gotten it sewn around the patch after it was ironed on.

thanks alot...... funny how the hole in mine looks alot like a broadhead lol

I have a hole in a DB that looks a lot like Connie shot through it with a shotgun.  It's not getting fixed though.  .. leverage!!

difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

Duct tape works just fine...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

I don't want to ask you how you got the hole in your blind ...

don't laugh too hard. mine happened the first time using it. had the bow propped with arrow ready and it slipped.

I've got more holes in my blind than I do turkeys out of it. For the cost of a blind you would think we would buy a bow stand or hanger. Duct tape works fine.

Shoe Goo is alot like weatherstrip adhesive. It's probably a slightly different formula. When the sole starts flopping off your sneaker, that's what you use to glue it back on. Kinda messy stuff. I'd use camo duct tape, just so I can have a roll of camo duct tape laying around.

What the heck, a hole here and there gives it character. Also conversation pieces for those long waits when nothing is happening.

The problems with holes is they grow.    :)

I found some neat little camo patches at Wal-Mart, in the sewing section, that really work well. They're 4"X4" with an adhesive back. Made to adhere to cloth material. Sorta like the iron on patches of old that your mother used on the knees of your jeans. These are peel and seal type. They work much better than duct, as weather doesn't seem to affect the adhesive.

They work really well on clothes too. Even through many washings.

I have repaired most holes in blinds with a hot glue gun and some camo fabric. The hot glue will hold until it gets REAL hot(over 100) in the sun. But this doesn't happen to often. If you buy a hot glue gun you can get High Temp glue for them now.
