I just got a 2009 used Montana in a trade and want to put a bow-quiver on it. Have looked at Selways, GNs, etc...Any recommendations that fit it best or don't work so well with it? Bought it to hunt hard so I'm not looking for a new one.

I use a slide-on Selway....works great for me.

yes. it's the one with rubber bands that wrap around the bow. works well. quiet.

I see you got the bow. How's it working out for you? I made a new string for the cascade and am working on a few other tuning issues. I'm shooting easton axis fmj's dangerous game weighing in at 700 grains.

On the Montana I used a selway and a great northern quiver. either are good solid quivers. If it helps you decide, I am planning to buy a selway for the cascade. I still have the gn if your interested, but it has a black widow logo on it. That said its very functional but doesn't work on a mag bow.

i dont think you can ever go wrong with a eagles flight!! a nice light bow like the montana would be a good match with that quiver..

it would kinda be unbalanced if you put a boa on it. the quiver would be to much side weight!! gaff

Haven't shot the bow yet, it just got there today. Do the bow-quivers affect limb performance any and did you take them off when you got in your treestand? I may just get that GN from you yet...I'll keep in contact.

I'll second the Eagle's Flight. Light and secure, you'll hardly know it's on the bow, and it's removable quickly. The biggest one only holds four arrows, but how many do you need?

not true.. they just came out with the 5 arrow gripper. i think most people would be happy with 5 arra's..

eugene, i can promise you the 5 arrow model is still WAY less weight than about any other quiver made today.. im willing to bet it prob. only weighs about 1-2 ozs. more than your 3 arrow model.

oh, and by the way. i dont get anything from them for saying this. i just love there product! and i have yet to find 1 bad thing to say about it.

Selway, Great Northern, and Eagles Filight, Have used all three and have had no problems with any of them........Using a CatQuiver now!!!

I like the Eagles Flight quivers also.I doubt if you will find a lighter quiver,dead quiet too and some say they don't affect bow tune at all.

I don't take bow quivers off bows in the field.That defeats the purpose for me.

OK!  No, as long as it is close to the handle, it doesn't effect the limbs, especially on a longbow.  I looked at the Eaglesflight myself... in fact I may order one for the Cascade if the Selway falls through... damn... shoulda went that way first.

I tried an Eagle's Flight on my Montana. didn't care for the feel. Not saying anything bad about them. There isn't anything bad to say about them fine quivers in every way. Just didn't care for the feel on an LB. there exceptional on a recurve tho. No weight, no noise & stays right where you put it.
