I've had this bow for about 30 years and it just hung on the wall except the day I took and had Earl sign it. I have been reading how everyone is shooting old Bear bows and got to thinking, (why not Hoyts) I pulled it off the rack and made a new string (B-50). The bow is 66" long, 50# @ 28"  left handed and I tried it out with my GT's 35-55 with 225 gr up front. All I can say is wow. Take a look at her.

I try not to let my mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!
The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Nice!
Nothing like taking an old stick and letting it be a bow again.

GB, that's a sweet looking Hoyt and one I'm sure you'll never part with. I say throw a couple of broadheads on those GT's and take her to the woods. I think she'd appreciate that.

Yep, 1954 and looks like a deflex reflex to me. So what's new??

I shot all my deer this year with a 1968 Howatt Monterey.

Now That Is An Old Beauty! Like Ron said... Take her out on a date in the woods.

Yep, it's more gratifying to take a deer with one these older bows.   :campfire:

That's great, maybe it will inspire me to hunt with one of my old bows soon. Thanks.

Just one of quite a few unique Hoyt beauties in his arsenal.

Like has been said, there is nothing really new in archery.

What a great, great bow.
But I was wondering, Jerry, when you laid the carbon arrow on the rest...did the bow make a funny little sound or shiver just a little?
Just kidding!

I'm just happy to be here!
