Like others have said, I got the joy of watching my three kids jump on their new indoor trampoline all day.

I hit the jack pot!I got a safety harness vest, KME broadhead sharpening kit, a GPS unit, a Ron LaClair wool shirt, and hunting socks. So materially, I did really well, but the most important thing was that my family was together and we are all healthy. And despite the economy, we are making out all right.Christmas is fun, and we all enjoy our goodies, but let's not forget the real importance of this day. Amidst the fun and fellowship don't forget to say a prayer of thanks for that Silent Night so very long ago.

One of my best Christmas' ever, my Mom got to spend the day with her family at home. She hasn't been home since mid August. She had heart surgery, and they repaired two valves in her heart.....and replaced one.

It's been a long row for her to hoe. There were times when I was in doubt if she would EVER step foot in her house again.

God is GOOD........and prayer WORKS !!!

My Dad, took her back about 7:30 this evening. She has came a long way, but still needs more physical therapy.

I am sooooooooooooooo very thankful.

Santa didn't bring much, but my Mother-In-Law surprised me with an amazing leather back quiver she hand stitched.

Outstanding. I can't wait to try it out.

To top it off, my wife bought me several season of Dexter. I'm a happy man.

Two dozen Arrows Easton 500s from the wife and my son got me some camo stuff. The best was having my son here instead of over there some place. First Christmas home for him in few years.

I have enjoyed reading about the gifts offers receive, both material and spiritual. There has been some humor thrown in, too. My wife gave me $20.00 for a bow! I was touched by her sentiment.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

Three pairs of Bean ragg wool hunting socks, toe and hand warmer 10-packs, a pint of real maple syrup, and a wireless router for my new laptop. Now I can log on while watching TV, with warm feet on  a sugar high! The American Dream come true.

My ex wife gave me a $200.00 gift card to a local sporting goods store. Whats up with that.

My son got his first recurve and my daughter a guitar. My gift will be the time spent teaching them how to use their gifts   :)

dpowers311

Gift card for bookstore from my mom, even though I am old enough to have my own grandkids. Cash from my wife to go into my bow fund. A wine vinturi.

The best was seeing the responses from my wife and son when they opened there gifts. Then the responses when I remembered there was more gift's that I forgot about later in the day. I also got to have a little helper use his first tools to put things together.

The Bear DVD set from the Mrs., a new folding knife from the boy, and a phone call on Christmas eve from my daughters that said, "We're on our way"!!

That was a big surprise for me, and they spent most of Christmas with us as well. The look on my son's face when he opened up his new guitar was priceless.

I was lucky enough to harvest a PA bear this year. My brother made me this plaque for the report card.
