well this isn't as impressive as the quiver or even the armguards for that matter, but i figured i'd share it anyways. mixed some black dye with the acorn color i had to get a different color. it's fairly simple, but it works

I made one similar to that, not as nice, and have trouble with the pad slipping. I use mine on a recurve mostly. How do you get yours to stay put.

That's leather talent Jay. Send me the "how to" mix on your coloring dye. The big end might slip if you're not careful. I do like the way you weaved the cord through it though to support the load.

i will be careful, if you look closely you can see that the leather is more or less just for looks, and grip. the rope goes all the way around the bow. so unless the rope breaks i'll be fine. it doesn't seem to move/ slip at all because of the leather. that's why i made it that way vs. just using rope.
straitera i'll pm you for the dye
thanks for the nice comments and safety concerns ...Jay

I made a very similar one using paracord.  Becasue the string or paracord is exposed to the edges of the bow glass it would be better to get the paracord or string to be on totally on top of the leather.  I talking about the leather that rest on the top limb not the cup leather which is at the bottom limb.  The edges of the glass will eventually wear the paracord or string and it will break.

i measured my bow and the string doesn't contact the bow at all, it may look like it would but it doesn't, thanks for the heads up though
