I am thinking of an Arizona javelina hunt in January 2010, probably in Unit 32 around Klondyke.  I hunted there almost 30 years ago, but remember very little about the area (BLM land) that I hunted.  I would like recommendations about what general areas to consider hunting, with regards to javelina density (of course, if you want to tell me your secret spots, I'll accept that also!).  If you wish, you could correspond privately.  Thanks for any suggestions and help with this planned hunt.

Sorry to say that it's draw hunt and you have to apply in September if I remember right.

Mike's right. It may even be too late to get an un-drawn tag, if there were any.

I am not sure if there are any left, but left over tags were available by mail or at game and fish- first come first serve. I was out deer/trash/dead cactus hunting today and ran into a herd of 12 javis just north of the valley.

As of today, 21 December 2009, Arizona Game and Fish has several hundred left-over archery only permits available.  There are approximately 400 for the hunt 5091, which includes unit 32.  The reason for my original question was to decide which hunt unit, and then which left-over tag to buy.  Thanks for the info, and I will be following up with phone calls to those who offered suggestions.
