hunterace, would you consider a build a long on a quiver like you just made?  I think it turned out well.
possibly after i have done a few more. this one looks good, but there are many things i'll do different next time. i want to try out some other quiver types too. if i make the same kind of quiver more than 2 times i could do something like that. i would have to change how i go about making stuff too  :) . with my art background, i sort of just wing it when it comes to stuff like this. not too much measuring or blue prints to go by. i look at something like a quiver and just sort of unfold it in my head and then cut stuff out and put it back together. let me get a few more things under my belt and then i may do something like that

i'm getting alot of ?'s on the color of the quiver, it's an acorn color and the brand of dye is Eco-Flo. i bought it at hobby lobby, i know that fiebings is the brand i've seen the most about on the net, but the eco-flo was at the store where i got some other stuff i needed. i'm assuming that fiebings makes a color similar to what i used but i'm not positive. i also didn't use an even application when i dyed it so it would have a different, broken up, camo ish look.

Take a look at the thread??? it's about back quivers. There's a quiver that hangs on your back like a back quiver but operates like a side quiver. The difference is if you're a right handed shooter you have to wear it as if you were left handed so the arrow can be removed from the bottom. It look like the best of two worlds. But having never done more than see a picture I can't be sure.
I was wondering how difficult it would be to convert a back quiver to one?
Thanks!
God bless,Mudd

that's the kind i'm making, i'm not sure what it's called. it does go on your back, and you will be able to remove or put in the arrows from the top, but in the field you can simply pull an arrow out the side of it. i have an idea how to make it, just have to give it a shot now

Nice work.
Did you put any wire at the top to keep the openeing from closing up on you? or did you use a different method?

yes i put a metal wire of some sort in the top. it's not as stiff as a cloths hanger so you can form it to whatever shape opening you like. it's some wire i had from some other craft stuff when i was making clay sculptures, it worked out well
