Sorry about that. For some reason my pics were too large... I'll try again later.

OK...
Here we go again.

I entered my youngest granddaughter, Halah, in a youth bow give-away week before last. The bow was being given away by oldskool... a Maddog Pup recurve. There were approximately 35 youngsters in the drawing that was made the evening of 12/5.

When I checked the thread on Sunday morning (12/6), I was shocked. I had entered all 4 of my grandchildren in youth bow give-aways in the past but this was our first winner.

Here's a pic of "Pappy" explaining the drawing to her.

After showing her her name on the package... we helped her open it.

Here she is drawing it for the first time.

And finally... shooting it out back.

I explained that when she grows out of the bow, we will give it to another little boy or girl the same way that she received it.

After coming in from the cold... she came to me with my "Masters of the Barebow I" DVD asking if she could watch it. After watching most of it, she took it home with her (hope I get it back!).

Now she wants to join Trad Gang! (lil_fnshter??)

From Halah and me... thanks to everyone involved. You made a little girl (and a granddad) VERY happy tonight.   :archer:

Very cool pics I hope she has great fun with it. And just maybe you'll get your master of the barebow back.
"Why do not the Indians till the ground and live as we do?" May i not ask with equal propriety, "Why do not the white people hunt and live as i do?"

I got my buddies grandkids a new bow (I mean errr..Santa did). They have been shooting a crude hickory three pounder with yarn since they could walk. This year it's Bacote and Curly Maple @ 10#. I can't wait to shoot on Christmas. =0)

Thank you for sharing! My heart is warmed with the pictures of you with your family. I am in awe that archery can do so much for us as people. Drawing us closer to each other and our maker. You have much reason to feel the blessings my friend. Keep on the good path.
