I like it. Nice and functional, good looking leather.

I think I'll try making one this winter as well.

Darn good for your first one.

Making as much of your gear as possible is very rewarding. My first armguard is almost laughable....I still use it more often than the real pretty one I bought!!!

I like it. What did you sew onto the bottom half or did you just double up the leather thickness?

Great job! As easy to make as one would think, they're actually not that easy to make. Again, great job!
Heads Carolina, Tails California...somewhere greener...somewhere warmer...or something soon to that effect...

i doubled the thickness, i sewed all the way around and glued between the 2 pieces. i figure for just about anything i make out of my hides i'll have to double up because the hides are thin and very soft, which has it's positives and negatives.
i currently making the second armguard i wood burned a deer skull into it and was debating making it 3 layers, 2 for thickness and one over the pic, like a framed look, haven't decided yet, most likely it'll be the same as the last but wider, with a pic on it and mabey some tampering. i'll post it up when i'm done.
thanks for all the nice comments  :)
