I posted about this bow a while back on the collector forum.  It was given to me by a guy who was cleaning out a storage unit.  He told me the bow was junk, and advised not to shoot it.  The bow was covered in a paint but appeared fine to me.  A few hours with fingernail polish remover and the bow was cleaned up.  It had a few stress cracks in the limbs near the fade areas.  A sponsor to this site Precision Hydrographics (camo dip) was running a Trad Gang special on camo dipping.  The bow was soon sent.  They did an outstanding job with quick turn around.  I was so happy with the bow I sent a black plastic Thunderhorn quiver.  Not only the hood of the quiver but the base as well.  The quiver too was done well with a quick turn around and an outstanding price.  Thumbs up to Precision Hydrographics.

Wow! Is that pricey? I could really enjoy seeing something that looked that good in my hands. Have any clue how it holds up to the rough and tumble of hunting?

Sorry, but I liked it better as a Kodiak Hunter; much prettier to my eye than that look-alike camo stuff.  8^(((((.  To each his own.

Loosenock

I'll agree with what Mr. Stout said.  Vintage equipment always bring back some special memories for me.  The camo looks good on the ol' bow.  If a vintage bow is great, one that is going hunt rather than being a "wall queen" is even better.

If the limbs have stress cracks in the finish, does the camo dipping help preserve the limbs?

I have a Palmer T/D that needs to be refinished and I was considering, for giggles, sending it in and having it camo dipped. What do you all think?

Great looking Camo job and if you are happy that is what counts.

I am with George, it looks like it cleaned up nice, I think I would have refinised it and kept that beautiful wood showing, JMO.

I agree to some extent, covering up a classical beauty. Like people who chop and drop a classic '53 Chevy p.u.

We all have seen alot worse done to these fine bows! I think Clint is protecting it for future use. Heck, in his post, the guy who gave it to him, probably would have trashed it!

Imagine in another 30-40 years, Clints grandson, decides to remove the camo, wala, a Classic find!

Good shootin, Steve.

Can't fault a beautiful camo job. That's very nice. Some of us really appreciate the natural woods more. You can always change back whenever if you choose.
