I have a Kanati that I like very much.  I've shot plenty of upper-end performance stuff and this little bow doesn't dissapoint me in any way.  I really like the finish as well and think it's one of the best around for looks and durability.  I've never been much of a shot with a longbow or the little hybrid bows but have found I can shoot this one surprisingly well ... maybe it's the grip (which fits my hand nicely).  It's certainly one bow that has lived up to my expectations and not just hyped-up to be more than it can deliver.  Also, the price is a value for the bow you'd be getting.

I am waiting on a 56" Kanati right now should be done in Jan sometime it will be my first Kanati and I am looking forward to shooting it. I have Shrews and Centaurs also great bows but the wait time is over a year I am hoping to get the call on my latest Centaur built next month or two.

30coupe

They are the best bang for your buck, hands down. They are smooth to draw, don't stack, have zero hand shock, are extremely quiet, amazingly fast, and shoot where you point. The grip fits my hand perfectly. My 46# Kanati zipped a 510 grain arrow through an Iowa buck at 22 yards in an eye blink. It is my go-to bow, the best I have owned or shot, and I've owned and shot a bunch. They are short enough to be handy in a tree stand or a pop-up blind, yet are still very stable.

My son shot a big 12 point with his 51# @ 28" Kanati this fall as well. Both were complete pass through shots. Our bucks are at the bottom of Jason's website.

The finish and quality are second to none. You could spend twice as much for less bow in my opinion. You owe it to yourself to give one a try.

Is a Kanati like a shrew?

Sort of. It is a forward handle hybrid like a Shrew, but the grip design is somewhat different. The limbs are trapezoid like the Shrew. The finish is a satin, no glare finish, perfect for a hunting bow. It is also about half the price of a Shrew.

Thanks 30coup. I always liked the looks of the shrew but dont know how a short bow like these would shoot for me. I only have a 25" draw so mabe that is a good thing.

JV, you should do well with a 56" Kanati at that draw. My son was only drawing about 26" when he first started with a trad bow. He's been working on form and back tension and is probably around 27 to 27 1/2" now. He shoots a 58" Kanati.

If you are interested, I'd give Jason a call and he can probably tailor a bow to your draw. He's a great guy to deal with. He's a bow hunter too, so he knows what needs to go into a hunting bow.

I have a Kanati and love it - just wish it was 10# heavier, and I'd shoot it even more!

Thanks again 30coupe. I will be ordering another longbow in about 2 to 3 months. I will have the money saved by then. I have been shooting a 64" longbow for the past 11 years. Do to a broken neck I have to go down to 40 pounds,so I cant shoot this one any more. I was just looking at jk web site and they realy do look good.

A 40 pound Kanati with well matched and tuned arrows and a sharp broadhead will smoke any whitetail you can find.

I have had two. They have no shock and are fast.

Shinken

They have *no* handshock, they are quiet, and spit an arra with authority!

Finish is awesome.

They handle a wide range of arrow spines due to the shelf being cut close to center.

Definitely a "sleeper" among the best of them.

An excellent choice - for anyone!

Shoot straight, Shinken

GMASIUK

Does anyone know his current lead time for a Kanati?

FAV 52

I own one of Jason's first bows it's called a Hyperstick 56 inches long 52 lbs of pull at 28 inches of draw . From bumble bees to bull elk it's the bow i take hunting ; it's fast ; quite ; no hand shock and after all these years still good looking as the day i picked it up . In my eyes you cannot get a better bow .
