Does anyone know where the Bear Montana is made? I have been eye balling one for awhile now, as my old #60 PSE Heritage series longbow's cap is delaminating, and although it's still a good shooter, duct tape and all, I'm looking to upgrade. I looked at a Montana in Cabela's last night, and it looks like a very rugged and well built weapon.
 The Bear Montana also appears to get very good feedback on various forums, however, according to the Dick's Sporting goods website, they list the country of origin as China...? Is this correct? I knew Escalade/Bear imported their youth bows from Asia, but I thought the recurves and longbows were still made in Florida by US workers. Now let me be very clear, I'm not knocking China, if the Montana IS made there, they appear to do a superb job, and I intend to buy one in the near future.
 I'm just curious where they are manufactured. Thanks in advance!

Not sure where its made but be aware that the Dicks web site has no affiliation with the stores I ordered a gun cabinet and it didn't have any hardware with it,called the store and they said we don't have anything to do with the on-line company.the whole thing became a pain in the a$$.Cabelas you can always send it back.My archery shop here has one and it does look tough,I like the way it feels as well.Good luck with your search.

I had a Montana and loved it. I think its a great bow.I don't know where they are made. I thought they were made in the U.S.. I guess you never know these days. With the way the economy is now, I would buy a bow made in the U.S.. Thats just my opinion.

You owe yourself to look in the classifieds. Too many great bows in pristine condition for less than the Montana. If not what you want place a WTB ad. Good luck.

I had a montana, shot great, no hand shock. They are a pretty darn good bow, you can find them in the classifeds here and other websites for$200 and under regularly.

Great bows, have had a couple still have one 50#er.Bullet proof. Just a good hunting bow that will last a long time. Not to pricey either...used ones go for 140-200 $'s.

I went to the Gainesville factory two years ago and bought a Montana there. They are still made in the USA, or at least were then.

I own one & it's an excellent bow. You could do a lot worse for a lot more money.

Ditto everyone else.  Great bow.  I don't use mine enough, but I do like it.  Maybe if I quit work and school and do nothing but hunt it'll see more use?  

The only longbow I own is a Montana. I really like it. I don't have any other LB to compare it to but I don't think I could be happier for the money.
I have a 50# my cousin has a 55#. Both excellent shooters, quiet, accurate and no hand shock.

Just retired my Montana after hunting through my earliest years with it. What a bow; always gonna sing it's praises. A good shooter that's tough as nails...

Chris, are you retiring Supertramp?  That bow seems to treat you well are you shooting something new?

Might be a crazy question but a Montana is pretty much a classic D-shape longbow right? Never messed with one and seen there is one forsale at the local shop so I was just curious about it now.
