Since my barn burned down; with a great deal of my archery equipment in it ( and 10 million memories) I have been 'restocking'.
I was approached by a lot of people here on the tradgang with offers of bows and arrows and all kinds of stuff.
I refused with thanks - with one exception - a bitzenburger - with an incredible history to it.
One tradganger - MrChuck - well he sent me a bow anyway- because he figured a new to me bow would just perk me up; even if I had other bows.
He was right.
Well; I have bought things from places all over to replace the lost stuff; and some from a place I cannot mention.
When I got the new longbow from MrChuck - well I knew it needed a new bow case.
That's where I get back to things we sometimes forget... like our sponsors.
I clicked on the Asbell ad - and ordered a bow case; a fleece lined Hopi patterned case.
 And today I got it.
WOW.
Its one of those things you get; and know your never going to get rid of; that is just the best thing of its kind.
 Thanks Fred and Teresa !!!
Lets remember our sponsors this time of year !!

The Asbells DO have some sweet goodies on that site, don't they!

Now... about that Bitzenburger history...   :readit:

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I was at their booth talking with Teresa about the various stuff for sale. I kept asking, does G Fred do the knives? No. Does he do the wool? No. Well, T just what does he do? Great folks all around and extremely good value on all their gear and books. (Fred does write)

I've spent a weekend in the booth next to Fred and I did see him sharpen a couple of knives!

The  bitzenburger was originally from the Bear Factory in Grayling.  :)
Thanks Non-typical !!

I went to a shooting seminar a long while back in Boise where Fred was giving us his best advice.

The time I saw him before that; he was suffering from claustrophobia with an elk head in his office; and gluing razorblades onto his broadheads.  :)  That was ~almost~ a quarter of century ago ....        :archer:

He is always up to something it seems  :)
