Recently there was a thread (I'm going to try to find it) about various trail cams.
I have about $100 to go towards a new cam.  I have one now, a Bushnell, and the battery life is absolutely awful.  It takes decent pics with good speed, but the batteries only last about a week.

Give me some ideas on a good cam in the $100 range with decent pics and speed but good battery life.
I read on the thread about some getting several months out of batteries.  That's something I'm really interested in.

I got mine on sale for about $120 or $130 i think.  It is a Stealth cam.  Batteries last forever and takes good picks.  In  the early fall last year I put out a corn feeder to see which bucks were in the area, I had pics of corn flying in the air.

I received a Wildgame IR4 as a gift several months ago. I was really impressed with the picture quality and battery life and I love the IR nighttime feature instead of a flash. You can find them about anywhere for less than $100. Cheapest I've seen is $79.

Moultrie has a $100 camera that I have had excellent luck with.

Wildview makes a good camera in that price range.  It's the IR5 extreme, 5 megapixels with IR flash.  I haven't had mine for that long but I really like it for the price.  Only down side is that it has a kind of slow trigger speed, around 4 seconds I think.  You can get them directly from the manufacturer for around $120, but I found mine on sale for $100.
