Another beautiful day! 2 Years in a row. Fun crowd, better hunting, lots of chow, and good fund raiser! Thanks to all who brought their dogs too.

A few highlights:

Conditions in the AM were tough for the dogs, but I almost got a shot at a bunny.

From the raffle I took home a home-made turkey wing bone call, a pack of Tusker Broadheads, and a cool call that calls deer, ducks, and hogs, some deer scent and a couple of other things! I was pretty lucky this year.
Of note: that multi-function deer call is quite nice, I played with it a bit this AM and found it to be a very good call.

I saw Chuck from Two Tracks dry fire one of his 50# longbows at a 29-30" draw! So we know they are durable! I really liked the way it shot.

Cody was in on the crew tearing up targets with his 1 of a kind Hill style longbow, of which I am quite jealous of!

Again I got to shoot a lot of different bows, always fun.

Thanks again to all who set this up and provided targets and all, it was a good turnout and fund raiser.

A summer Carp shoot sounds like a good idea too!

Hey Cody,
I saw your "Olimpic try out" face dive. That Squirrel laughed so hard, he almost fell out of the tree.
I also had a wonderful time visiting with so many great people that all have the same interest in Traditional archery. Thanks to all who donated their time for such a great event. Jim @ Firefly Bows

This was my first year at the stomp.  I had a great time and even ran into a couple old friends that I didn't even know were into traditional archery!  I gotta thank Steve for organizing this event and for being nice enough to let me catch a ride up there with him.  Great job everyone on the raffle.  There was some seriously cool things there and some folks have some real skills which were evident by the things they made for this event.  I'll be going back for sure.

Cody, Would you please let me know next year if you plan on another Face Plant Dive. I surely would have stayed for that. We should look into making that part of the Fundraiser. We could Judge the event and all! Seriously though it was good seeing everyone and I look forward to next year. Steve Thanks for a Great event, cudos to you and all who put it on.

Come on Matt, gimme a break that nock had no right to break like that. You would think that I would have learned with that bunch of arrows, That is the third time a nock broke upon release with that bunch of flu flu's.

Well, the plan was to be at the Stomp, but work got in the way. Sorry I missed all the fun. One question, who walked away with the "Hot Pink Bunny Busters"?

Well, I don't know about bunny busters...but Steve AKA:Jacobsladder had arrow busters! DON'T shoot with steve unless you have verified that he is shooting field points! OR wait until he is done shooting before your turn. That is all I will say!

jacobsladder

Matt....... you are too much.. i promise next year i will shoot with field points and not hex heads.....  :biglaugh:     :D   But, in all seriousness it was a pleasure to shoot with you... It amazes me how well you shoot those Hill bows..... Looking forward to more get togethers in the future!

I totally agree with Shawn, what you all have done, in both New York and Michigan, can't really be expressed with words.  I don't know of anyone who's life hasn't been effected by cancer.  I have a close family friend who benefited from St. Jude's with TWO bouts of leukemia. People like you are the reason why he is now a 19 year old college student.  Thank you all.
