Well I've got my Mohawk shooting bullet holes through paper and broadheads are flying right with my field points (a little too good cause I have to refletch a couple arrows now), but I'm having all sorts of problems with my Shrew.  I don't have any left/right tear, but no matter where I have the nock I get a nock high tear.  The closest I got to a bullet hole had the nock so low that I could hear the shaft smacking and bouncing off the shelf.  I've got my Simmons Interceptor B-heads flying exactly where my field points do and only one small corkscrew as soon as the arrow leaves the bow and then it's perfect arrow flight.  Should I just forget about the paper since my B-heads are flying good?  Since I've moved my nock so high I need to retrain myself as all my shots are about 10" low at 20yds now.

turn cock feather in and try again.

I had the same problem once -- couldn't tune out nock high. After talking to Ken Beck at the UBM Fesitval, he suggested I try a double nock set. Something about the nock posible sliding down the serving during the shot, causing the arrow to bounce off the shelf.

I went home and tried it. He was right. It may or may not help your situation, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I have been having the same problem with one.I have been expanding my draw length over the last several months from 27" to almost 29".The bow shot fine at 27" but now is noisy,with heavy arrows and I just can't seem to get a set of arrows tuned to it.

I always use 2 nock sets.I am starting to have to admit that it is a finger pinch issue and I probably just need a longer bow.It isn't the bow's fault and I don't doubt that some people could make it work with an identical draw length.I'll keep playing around but I am running out of things to try.I just may have to get a longer version.

If the double nock doesn't get it check your grip.  I had that on a bow, and I solved it with getting my grip pressure up into my tumb base better and used a thumb and index grip.  I think I had my pressure point too low and probably was also getting some string tork along with it.

And the winner is.......  Jason and Xtrema.  I was trying to shoot the Shrew the same as the Mohawk and it wasn't working so I altered my grip and the tears in the paper got a lot better but not perfect.  I added a second nock and perfect tear everytime.  I'm gonna take it out in the yard with some B-heads strapped on today and see how they fly.
