My buddy and I are heading back to Oregon next week for the late season Cow hunt. The hunt starts on Nov 28 and continues until Dec 13th. We are going to be there on Dec 9th and if anyone has any locations where we can start it would be of great value. We have a contact in Sweet Home that will be helping out, but I could sure use some more insite to help narrow my search at the start. That is one tough hunt.

Here is a bit of info. Hwy 18 West of Spirit Mtn. Casino in the Stott Mtn. unit. Any of the locked gates are a good bet. The Vanduzer Corridor is known for a lot of elk and I think it is Cedar Crk. Road that is a good spot too.

Blacktail---thanks for the info, we didnt want to travel that far up, but if that is what it takes we will make the trip. We are staying in the SweetHome area. The Units are Alesa, McKenzie and Stott Mt. Units, and portions of the Indigo and Santiam units.
Like I say any and all info is very helpful and appreciated.

For Stott Mt. you might want to try upper Drift creek. Just south of Lincoln city, mile or so Drift creek road takes off to the left.
