Looks like a blob of concrete that got dumped in water and then set up...

I agree about the meteorite and checking it with a magnet but I think that while I've heard most meteorites do have metal, I think I've heard that some do not.  May not be a 100% reliable test.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Chortdraw

I have a couple of them and the magnet does stick to most of the ones I have seen. That would be a good find if it is really a meteorite.

LoweBow

Leaverite!  LMAO...that's a first for me.
Dad always called them JAFR.

Killdeer

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I would be tempted to forge it into broadheads with special powers, sort of like Jim Bowie's meteorite knife in "The Iron Mistress" movie.

Arrowhead80

I sent the pic to my Pop, he's a rock hound.
I'll let you know if he can determine anything from the picture.
Can you scratch it with a knife blade>  For this type of test you should have a fresh surface so you aren't just scratching the deteriorated surface.

Rob DiStefano

looks a lot like the tibiotarsus (probably left side) from an ornithopod corythosaurus circa 75 million years ago; habitat north america.

Meteorite or not - it's a sweet stone.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
