Was thinking about it and who would be on your Mount Rushmore of archery / bowhunting? Traditional only please.

Curious to see what others think....

I will start with the one and only Fred Bear. He would be in the George Washington placement IMO.

One down and three to go.
Proud Dad to two awesome Kids and a very passionate pig hunter.

Right handed but left eye dominant.

Proud to be a Native TEXAN!!!!!

Howard Hill, Art Young, and Obama.  The first two are obvious choices the third one came to me in a dream...although he does not currently shoot a bow...i think we should give it to him just like the Nobel Peace Prize...he "may in the future" shoot a bow and if so I'm sure he will deserve it...LOL

LMAO, Tatersalad. My four would be Pope, Young, Hill, Bear.

BobCo 1965

Tough to pick four, but I'll try.

Howard Hill, John Schulz, Fred Bear, Ben Pearson.

George D. Stout

I'm surprised that Maurice Thompson, who literally fathered modern bowhunting in the USA is not mentioned.  Without him, who knows what would have happened.  As far as impact on archery, it would be Maurice Thompson, Pope, Young, and Howard Hill.

For modern bowhunting, Howard Hill, Fred Bear, Glenn St.Charles, Ben Pearson.

What george said.......and for real modern.... the Wensels, Fred Asbell, and T.J.Conrads...

Ishi, Fred Bear, Howard Hill, and.....hmmm....the last one is a tough decision but,.......I gotta say.....Byron Ferguson. Glenn St. Charles and G. Fred Asbell are certainly in the mix, though. As are Pope & Young, the Thompsons, and Ben Pearson.
