Well,I did it.   :)  After years of shooting a recurve with decent success I developed a terrible case of target panic.    To the point where I had all but given up. But thanks to the encouragement of friends, the advice read here, and six monthes of dilligent practice it all came together and I was able to accomplish my ultimate goal. To harvest a deer with my fox longbow.
This oregon blacktail was chasing a doe and gave me a perfect 12 yd. quartering away shot.

Thanks again all. Jim

good one ! No err - really big one !!! Dealing with target panic is terrible; making a good shot is really an accomplishment. The deer couldn't have died a better death.

Congrats !!

I fight target panic every day.....you did good!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
