Am interested in your experiences with these two quivers... I'm getting away from bow quivers and have it narrowed down but want to know from those experienced with these quivers.

I made my own GFA style quiver years ago--never was happy with it.  The Arrowmaster (Safari Tuff) is the best all-around quiver I've ever used.  I wish Rod would have developed it sooner--I could have saved a small fortune trying out different ones.

I think the Arrowmaster is great. Both models are superb. If you want smaller and lighter, go with the Duiker (but get the fletch cover), and if you want bigger and would like an attached pocket, go with the original Arrowmaster. To read more, do a search for previous threads.

I like my Arrowmaster, I have never used a GFA so I can't comment on one either way. I like the storage on my arrowmaster, during season I keep my armguard,gloves, shooting glove facemask and a spare rest and side plate. I may forget things from time to time but when I grab my bow and quiver I know I'm set in that department.

I stumbled around looking for a quiver for years, until Fred starting producing the GFA. Like everyone else, I even tried to make my own out of a GN bow quiver. But when I got my GFA, I never looked back. Absolutely the best quiver for my style of hunting. Silent and out of the way when hiking or still hunting, completely convenient when blind hunting. I love it. Quality is A#1

Like you I have used a home made GFA style  quiver for well over 20 years....guess I should have marketed it. Oh, well.......
A couple of years ago Laura and I bought a 23 acre piece of land that is landlocked and we only have an old logging road or a canoe paddle to get to it. I sweat easily so I invested in a fleece Day One pack to carry my clothes in so I could finish dressing at my stand. I found the GFA quiver to be a bit on the noisy side, the Cat Quiver just didn't work with the pack and a bow quiver was just too heavy on my DAS bow. I sold all my commercially made quivers and got the Arrowmaster. It works great with my pack, I can pretty much throw it around in the canoe, it protects my fletch and is my go to quiver. The fact that I can put a knife, a rope, spare hooks, and other stuff in the pocket makes it a no brainer if I want to take a quick scouting trip but don't want to lug  my back pack around. I replaced the rubber in the bottom of the quiver with a more dense foam. The only two draw backs I have with it is that when I carry a judo it tends to dull my bhs. Secondly, getting a second arrow out of the quiver after a miss can make a bit more commotion than the GFA. But I have learned how to hang it in a tree so that problem is minimized and I also partially "release"  the second arrow so it  is not stuck in the foam and comes out easily. Given all the pros and cons of all the quivers out there I think the Arrowmaster is the best choice. I use my homemade GFA quiver in my Double Bull blind.

For me, the Safari Tuff Quiver is all advantages and no disadvantages...every other quiver I've tried was a trade-off.

I too have made a gfa style out of a great northen quiver and loved it.  The wire itself is a bit bendy so you had to be careful but it worked extremely well.  A good friend of mine did this with an old bear 1 piece plastic compound quiver.  He drilled a hole in the hood and I believe just in front of the rubber end.  Strapped up with 550 parachute cord and wamo.  Slick deal.

Personally I have a chief by Jack Bowyers.  Not to mess you up completely.  I love it!  I did add a plug with notches on the open end to keep feathers from rustling together.  Pretty simple really and it works extremely well.   IT also works well with a backpack on!  In a tree I strap it to the tree by strapping a fanney pack around it...or if I have an extra strap on step to hang it off of that works great also.   WHen I'm not using this quiver, I'm using my great northern slung the same way.

Hard too beat the Arrowmaster.  I think it will be my goto quiver on my alaska moose hunt next fall.  It's lightweight and easy to use.

I bought a GFA but found the large arrow gripper was very loose on my 2018's.  Bought some 3/4" shrink tubing and now it works great.  Can only hold six arrows instead of seven comfortably because of the way the strap attatchment sits.  Rides comfy enough, and with the fletch cover is pretty silent.  Still would like to try an AM though.
