This one should be here in a couple of days. I couldn't resist  :banghead:  .  60", 55@28. My huntin' partner has shot a lefty Stahl for about 4 years now and I've had an eye out for one that I could shoot.  I really don't know much about this Bowyer other than he's somewhwere back east, PA I think.  Anybody have info about him? Couldn't find a web-site.

Jim Picarelli

Beautiful bow! I had a Stahl a few years ago...one of those bows ya wish ya never got rid of. Dale doesn't have a website and he is from Pa...maybe someone here has some contact info they could post for you. He's a cabinet maker by trade but his bows are real shooters. Enjoy!

I have heard nothing but great things about his bows and shot one at one of the shoots here in Bama. Great shooting bow and the craftmanship is top shelf.

Doug,
He's a very, very underated/unknown bowyer that makes a fantastic bow. I'm sending you his 2004 pricelist/info sheet via email.

Thanks guys, if it shoots as well as it looks in the pics I'll be tickled.
Scott, thanks for the info.  Not bad prices, even for '04. Doug

That used to be my bow. By far the best looking bow I ever owned. It shoots as good as it looks. I'm bad to get the trading bug and got rid of it on a trade. I can not say enough about how well these bows are made. I hope you enjoy it and if you ever decide to get ride of it please let me know, would love to get it back. I put the small scratch on one of the limbs with an allen wrench taking it apart one day. Lets just say I showed my a&* in my work shop when I did that.   :banghead:

myshootinstinks

Wow!   :saywhat:  small world.  I saw the scratch you're talking about on one of the pics the seller had. PM sent.

I've owned four Dale Stahl bows and I'm sorry to say I've let all four of them go, although one was too heavy for me at 57#@28" and had to go.  The first one I bought was sort of Plain Jane T/D recurve with a Bubinga riser with gray actionwood center stripe and red elm limbs.  It was a great shooting bow.  I sold it to the owner of The Archery Shop that I frequent and I've tried numerous times to buy it back to no avail.

The second was the 57#@28" that was a beautiful bow.  It had a Zebrawood riser and actionboo cores with Zebrawood veneers.

The third and fourth were a T/D recurve with Bocote riser and actionboo limbs stained a honey color and a D/R hybrid 60" longbow with a Bocote riser  and actionboo cores and Bocote veneers.  Both bows were 48#@28" and were great shooting bows.  At present I have three recurves, a new Mariah Thermal, a new to me Schafer Silvertip and a new to me RER T/D recurve.  The bows are all in my sweet spot range of 46-48#@28" and they all shoot great.

With that being said, I can see me adding a fourth at some point in the future if I see a Dale Stahl recurve on the market that is 62" and 46-48#@28".  Dale's bows are not only beautiful and very well built, they are great shooters to boot.

I know Dale Stahl personaly. we have shot  together a few times at Traditional Shoots. Dale is a real down to earth guy and a nice fellow to boot. I have one of Dale's recurves and one of his longbows that I am hunting with this season. He really do some fine work. Dale is out of Rockledge PA and can be reached at: 1-267-978-4388.

nice fox tony!!

Dale makes some of the best bows around. Dead in the hand, point well etc.. good guy and a does some lams that are amazing.

myshootinstinks

Thanks for the info Tony.
The bow arrived yesterday and it's everything I expected. Superb workmanship and detail. Certainly one of the prettiest bows I've seen. Shot maybe 25-30 arrows by spotlight last night.  That grip he builds simply melts right into your hand and I had no problem grouping arrows.
My compliments to Mr Stahl, his talent is unsurpassed.

Your'e most welcome myshootinstinks, I hope you enjoy your new to you Stahl Bow. Thanks fellows for the congrats on the Fox.Thanks DannyBows, I am sure the Fox would make a nice quiver, but I have always wanted a full mounted Fox and a rug mount, so thats what I am going to do. Good Luck to all of you the rest of your seasons. Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.
