Congrats on a beautiful buck.  That's a nice looking bow you have there, too.  Is that a Zipper?

    :clapper:    :clapper:    :clapper:  Thats awesome Chris!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Awesome Chris!  Love that shot with your toes up. Great for your avatar!

Awesome story, and an awesome buck!!!

Some guys describe a buck as being "nice", when to me they are heartstoppers!!!

Great shot, thanks for posting!!!

First Congrats on a great Buck! Now if you can believe it back in the 80"s I killed a Buck with the same rusty hair on top of the head [looked like a cheap wig] and a very similar knee joint. I figured he fractured it in a ground hog  hole  and the calcium just built up to heal it. You can't make this stuff up!

Missouri CK

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

Canyon,  My set up is a zipper recurve with a beman arrow with 250 up front for a total arrow weight around 650 grains. I started with wensel broadheads and have come back to them for good.

Porter, For your information I have spent at least 6 and maybe 7 hours out at the park.  I'd rather be lucky than good any day.   :p

What was big was not the antlers, but the chance. What was full was not the meatpole but the memory of the hunt.    --Aldo Leopold
