I am looking for a first time Longbow.  I have found a Fred Bear Bruin longbow that is 68" and 60# for $150.  I am 6'7" and do not know if this bow is long enough.  I pull around 31.5 draw.  Sorry for such Noobie questioning but we all have to start somewhere.  Thank you

The bow length should fit you. Most people new to traditional archery will find that their draw length is a little shorter than when shooting a compound bow. I would start with a little less weight than 60pds and practice form and then gradually move up to a higher weight. Starting with a heavy weight bow can sometimes lead to frustration and bad habits.

I have to agree with Shape shifter 60# would be a little heavy to start with. look through the classifieds here and you can find a great starter bow around 50# for a good price.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

Thank you for the advice.   Any idea if this bow is worth 150

That Bruin would live up to its name with your long draw, at least 70 lbs.  For your first bow you will be MUCH happier and better off to keep your draw weight below 50 lbs at your draw.  Figure that you will gain 2.5-3 lbs/in over the bow's marked draw length, so be looking for something around 40 lb @ 28".  There are plenty of those around, esp in the recurves.  Bow designs vary, but figure around 66" in a longbow and 62" in a recurve to start.  Longer is generally easier to deal with than shorter.
