Hey guys,
Need to pick the brain of some of you experienced guys:

1. How do I get the bucks on my stand to come out during the day? Or is there a way?

2. Anyone ever use scents (deer estrus...etc)?  If so, what do you use...and HOW DO YOU USE IT?

Got a big hunt comming up and could use some help getting my first traditional deer harvest!!

Thanks you guys...Ben

I only use the urine and hock pads from deer that I kill.I found that scents that I bought scared the deer in my area(New Jersey) but a hock and the urine from a buck in your area will bring them around.especially during the rut.If the scent doesn't work try a decoy in the rut.

Ben,

You need to move your stand too where they are before dark.  Many times the bucks will stage back in the brush or woods and watch the feeding area for a good bit before coming out.  Lots of times after dark.

Check the area out and slip a ladderstand into that staging area or on a trail leading too it that has a pinch point.

There is a great book by Jim Hamm that every Texas whitetail hunter should have.
