I just bought a used Black Widow and have tried it with the arrows I use in my PSE Sable and am not getting good results.  I have been using 5575 gold tips with the old bow with 150 grs added to the front and 125 gr broadheads.  My widow is 50# at 29" and I only draw about 27 1/2.  I am guessing I will need to go to 3555 arrows?  Any ideas on adding weight and broadhead size?

If the PSE is about the same draw weight, I would start by:

1. checking the nocking point.
2. brace height recommended by BW, start low and work up to max. recommended.
3. Shoot at 10 feet into foam style target, to determine where nocks are pointing.
4. Use Electrical Vinyl Tape, (heavier than normal tape), cut 1" and add to rest, and retest. If needed add more tape to build out rest.

Depending on the model of BW, a lighter strand string may make a difference. Lighter might be 8, 10, or 12 strand depending on the materials.

If your not getting anywhere, post what you have tried.

I am betting a Easton Epic in 600 or a CE in 20/40 with a 125 grain head would be real close cut to 28 1/2"-29"

 35/55 will be pretty stiff at your draw length and weight. You will be able to make them work if you load up the front.


 Tune using the broadhead planing method.
