How do you transport your bow?
Strung, unstrung, in a case, loose in the truck
Do you carry a stringer if unstrung?
Pictures are good of options.
Thanks for the input,
Tim

Usualy strung in the back of my truck

If you carry your bow unstrung, carrying a stringer in your car or truck only makes good sense.

(you can leave the stringer in your vehical, you don't have to carry it while you hunt)

Strung. Just lay it across the back seat of my pickup.

Wisconsin makes you put it in a case if it is strung.
Not many cases for a strung 60" bow with a side quiver.

Usually unstrung behind my truck seat, covered of course.  :scared:   Right behind the seat, and it makes a Perfect Shelf for hauling such things!!
Everybody that rides with me B_tches about how close my seat is to the Dash and How Short my Dam Legs are, then I turn my Stereo on and they usually Shut Up, or at least the Tunes drown them out!  :archer:

Well..... Then unstring it!!!!!

It's not really a big deal, with practice you can string & unstring a bow with your eyes closed in about 30 seconds.

This what I use for my 72" long bow

IL Regs:  unstrung, in a case, or otherwise made inoperable.  I transport my longbow either unstrung or strung in a Kathy Kelly case.  I brace it without the stringer.

Tim, I know a guy that got caught with his bow NOT in a case there. They don't play around. He got a fine.

3Rivers sells a case just for your needs.

Unstrung, in a bow sock.

Game wardens will assume your road hunting if its strung and it reflects poorly on the bowhunting community. Shooting from or across a road is illegal here.

I bought a SNOWBOARD case on closeout. It will fit about anything you have even with a quiver.

Just to make it clear. I unstring my bow and use a stringer to string and unstring mine. I place it in a bow sock for transport. No quiver on the bow.
Would like to see how others transport theres for a local hunt.

onewhohasfun, That sound like a neet idea.

mysticguido, That looks great for a unstrung longbow. Very protected.

Keep them coming.

Michigan is the same way.  If left strung it must be in a case.  I unstring mine and lay it across the back seat.  Since it's unstrung I dont worry about a case when hunting local.  I do always have a stringer in my truck.

I have a soft case for it when unstrung but that's not till the season ends in the front seat is where it sits
