Recently picked me up a Dryad Orion off the classifieds down below...this is my 1st 3pc bow and I was kinda curious...

Does anybody put any kind of padding sandwiched betwixt the riser and the limbs?

Its not so much the sound dampening affect that I'm looking for, as the bow is very quiet, but more of protection against moisture finding its way up under there.

Any ideas, comments, or suggestions?

By the way...if you dont own an Orion, yall should really think about getting one!

Thanks!

No need to put any padding. I just put a coat of Johnson's Paste Wax on my T/D's and have never had an issue. Believe me it works, I live in Oregon!    :D

I rub the surfaces with string wax (bees wax).

I use string wax as well.

String Wax work well to help seal and lube that area.  It's also easy to remove with a little help from a hair dryer and paper towel.

I use bicycle inner tubing in the limb pockets.
It works well and cuts down on noise.

What the other guys said, Cam.  Just a little string wax.

Bob Morisson uses a thin layer of adhesive backed cork on the riser with holes for the bolt and line up pins.  I have used wax, but this works great as limbs don't actually touch riser and I see no marks on the limbs at all..just my thought, but possibly the cork may also protect the limb from cracking by those who like to "overtighten" ??
