how to store your bow

I have seen bows many times that were left strung; and leaned against the wall to store them- even between hunting days...that had developed twisted limbs.

Do you think the safest way to store a strung bow is horizontally - like on deer antlers or pegs; where it can hang under its own weight by the string; or some other method ?
