Great pics,  Why no shot?  The first one looked like a good buck.

Clay, the buck was tempting, but just didn't set off the green lite!

Any of you guys just starting usin calls, just don't go overboard on loud or often.  They really do work, but real bucks don't run around gruntin nonstop or fightin all the time.

I like to call a couple times the first and last hour of daylite. May not be the "right" way but works for me fairly often, especially this time of year.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I always have a grunt tube with me when on stand. The last 2 years I have also carried a can and a fawn bleat has been in my pack for 20 years. Never had a deer spook when calling and had many come to see what's up.
I carry a rattling bag too(or rattling antlers)but over the years only attracted one tiptoeing spike right at dark.
With a little practice you can make a grunt and other calls with your mouth.

A few years back I was using some climbing sticks.  A gust of wind caught my bow as I was hauling it up and it bang on the steps.  It got caught and i "rattled" if loose.  I was dissappointed at all the noise I had made getting in the stand.  that is till I had oldder spike come into the noise I been hunting for a couple of yrs.

I went to the store and got a rattling bag.  Called him in two more time that season but still never got a shot.

you knew it was him because he had one very tall antler on his port side and big lump of antler that was down over his starboard eye.

Nice picks Kenny

There starting to move pretty good over here to, I haven't seen any doe chases yet but the bucks are sure roaming and making alot of scrapes.

I have called in several deer blind calling.  Bucks and does.  This year I noise-spooked a doe a couple weeks ago and got her to come in with aggressive and pitiful fawn bleats.  Never got a shot but she was coming straight to me.  Yesterday I did a series of doe bleats and buck grunts and had the biggest deer I have ever seen in the woods come like a trailing hound dog right past me.  I grunted and called him by me at 20 feet.  He was so intent on finding a buck that he didn't even slow down so no shot but it was really cool.

I agree with Pat B, they rarely do any harm.
Take a kid hunting!

Nice calling. What kinda calls are ya using? I generally bleat a couple times, and then do a tending grunt. Brings em right in...

Right now I'm using a Hunters Specialties rattlebag(rattled my 2 best in with it),and a set of 10 pt sheds with the brows cut off.

Bro gave me the rattlebag years ago.

An old wooden primos grunt that you suck air thru to make the call.

Also a M.A.D.  Buck Growl(only used as a grunt), use it backwards and suck thru it,I just like the sound better. My oldest son gave me this one.....
