I was curious as to how you like'em? how long are the bills, overall quality? been looking for some kind of hat to wrap my hunting atire!! Thanks, Jason

DaleinOhio

I have two.  I have a short-billed wool camo one and a brown oilcloth version.  I love them both.  The short-billed one is my favorite, though.

Man this is to funny, as I just ordered me one yesterday. Black/Green plaid to keep the ole noggin warm this late season. A hat that's been around this long, they must be doing something right!

How about a good guess as to how long the bill is? does it interfer with your bowstring? Thanks, Jason

I have a "long bill" version. Love the hat but it does interfere with my string.

They don't make the "short bill" version anymore??

Just in case I wear a XL.

the shorty is great....buy it you will love it, I have 4 of them....

I wear mine backwards because of the bill but other than that its a good hat.

Quotedoes it interfer with your bowstring?
My issue is....I shoot with my bow vertical.  I haven't found a hat/cap yet I can shoot without it interfering.

I ended up ordering a wolfskin predator boonie from grey wolf woolens and putting velcro on the brim and raised portion to pull the brim out of my way.  I just have to remember to flip it up, prior to shooting.

I have 2 kromers and like em both. I have to turn em around or the string will hit the bill. I shot a small 8 pointer a couple of years ago wearing my camo Kromer for the first time. I immediately named it the Kromer stand. Sad part is i haven't seen a deer out of it since.

Kromers are great hats--I have a few of them, and the short billed ones are the way to go for bowhunting. Picked mine up on **** last year.

The Great Jashu

They make one without a bill too. I have three of them, black wool, green wool with no bill and a green oilskin. They are warm and comfortable. The one with no bill makes a great bowhunting hat.
No hunter should feel guilty for killing a deer that doesnt meet someone else's expectations.

i use a radar hat from primos its the best

I have 2 Kromers, the red/black longbill and one of LaClairs camo short bills. My favorite hats. Quality is A#1. If I tilt it back a bit I get no string intereference.

Traxx

Yup,Been wearin em fer over 25 yrs.And i agree with Roger on the tiltin back thing.
Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

Hi all new guy here and figured I'd make this my first post. I have been wearing a kromer for years! Black wool is my favorite but I do have a green wool and green oil cloth for early season wear. Wouldnt go anywear without my kromer. Also never had any problems with the brim and a bowstring.

Heck yes! Check out my Avitar pic!  I have the shorty, but it still gets in the way of my string.  No problem for me...I just wear it backwards.  The guys in the United Bowhunters of Illinois say I look like a terrorist....but I don't mind...and I don't try to wear it on airplanes.

I have the short brimmed wool camo LaClair model and really like it.
