Kasey,
I lost my job (32 years with the same Company) earlier this year. I still have not found another job but keep looking. Take a week or so to clear your head before you start the job search. It's easy to make mistakes with the new job search when you first lose a job. Make sure you think things through before you make any decisions.
Best Wishes for all who are out of work. Stay Strong.

gregg dudley

Best of luck on the job search.  Kill a pig in the meantime.

Kasey, I feel for you. My plant seems to be hanging on by a thread--I'm so worried. I've been with them for 28 years. We just lost our health insurance, which the company paid, hunting for a policy now, ain't got no faith in the government's solutions.

On top of that, I hunt the White River National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas, and it is flooded and closed due to all the rain. I missed opening day archery season for the first time in over 30 years. Heavy rain is moving in tonight out of Kansas and Missouri, so my season may be over before it ever started. It gives me the blues.

However, I have a lovely wife, my family is healthy, and we have a new grandson. Life is good, and I pray we all don't have to worry about our jobs someday soon.

When I get down, my wife points out though we aren't making a lot of money these days, we are truly blessed--we are truly rich. I hope things turn around for you.

Sorry to hear that. I was layed off Sept 3rd. I'll go back to work in a couple of months when I'm done playing in the woods. Hope you find more work soon. >>>RAY

That's the best therapy. I lost my job in 1996. Went home and packed the Yukon and went to Texas for two weeks hunting. When I got home I had 3 job offers on the answering machine!
