We opened up our season here on Oct.1  Due to some slob hunters in one area and a change of the crops in another.  Had to spend the last two middays taking down and moving some stands around. Had not seen too many deer and the ones I did were all out of range.
Well the midday workouts payed off tonight. I hung this stand today and then decided to hunt it right away.
Shot this doe at 5pm at 12yds.  Double lung shot and about a 60 yd recovery.
The broken off end of my arrow at the impact spot

The blood trail

This is how I found her, with her leg severly twisted up. The Magnus stinger totally cut her off side leg bones in half.

The doe died directly on one of the trails I was hunting and I still had about and hour and a half of light left.  I have seen deer booger at downed deer, so I didn't want to leave her there.  I also didn't want to disturb the whole area by draggin her off to far.  So heres where she ended up for safe keeping    ;)    .  Thanks for looking.  Joe
