Well, I parked the truck at the usual place, but the tram road entrance had a mocking warning.  Of course I ignored the skull and took a nice jaunt.  My favorite, brushy, hilly hunting spot.

Check out the slide show, and the ominous sign at the beginning of the trail.  8^).  The fence row in the woods shows that there once was a pasture area in there....about seventy years ago.
Love old fence posts...they are so photogenic.

The close ups of the moss show where deer have traveled, turning pieces over as they go.  Subtle signs of activity...click on photo for slides.

That's very nice.What a beautiful time to be in the woods.Looks like in another week it will be prettier yet.I was born and raised in Western MD not too far from there.It brings back some great memories of that time of year.I haven't seen milkweed in years.

I hope you post some more as the season goes on.

Very nice George.  The milkweed is plentiful in NY too and I always carry some.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
