Hey guys first time poster here, I just wanted to let you know that I have officially started the transformation to traditional gear. After 30 years of shooting with "training wheels" on my bow I am ready for stick and string! I currently have an old Bear Kodiak 65 lb. @ 28 " but will be upgrading to a Kanati with less weight next year. I just ordered a Kanati Quiver for the old Bear for the time being. I have taken one doe many years ago with this bow but never took it serious. This is officially the last season with the wheel bow! Thanks to ISHOOT4THRILLS, I am anxious to join the brotherhood!  :campfire:

Welcome Joe!

I have known, hunted, and worked with Joe for almost 20 years. He owns a place at the top of my list of the finest people I know and one of the most, if not THE most, dedicated bow hunters I've ever met. He has many a bow-killed deer and turkey on his resume and is considered extremely ethical, knowledgeable, and appreciative of the great outdoors. Joe and I bow hunt together every year and I am very glad to have him join the 'Gang. He is where he belongs and we are a better place to have him with us.

Pics of Joe and a huntin' camp we share sometimes:

WELCOME!!!   I started shooting trad last year after becoming de-mystified by the compound world.

You'll get a little frustrated.
You'll have a lot fun.
...and it won't be long before you're REAALLY glad you made the switch!!

(And I can vouch for that even before getting my first deer without wheels.)

Welcome

Joe,

Welcome.  Hope you have as much fun here as I do.  This place, and the people who inhabit it, albeit virtually, are as good as it gets.
Don't meddle in the affairs of dragons; people are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
